Superintendent's 2025-26 Middle School Student Advisory Board Meets

The Cherokee County School District Superintendent’s Middle School Student Advisory Board met today for its first meeting of the school year!  

The board is made up of 23 sixth-graders who last school year served as their elementary school’s fifth-grade representative on the Superintendent’s Elementary School Student Advisory Board, plus one seventh-grader and one eighth-grader from each middle school.  

During the listening session, students shared what they love about their school and how CCSD could make their school even better.  

The elementary board met earlier this month.  A newly formed high school board, to initially be made up of freshman who last school year served as eighth-graders on the middle school board, will launch later this month.  These three boards complement the longtime Student Delegates to the School Board program for high school senior student leaders.  

Students’ valued insights are essential in our mission to be the highest performing school district in Georgia!
