Teasley Middle School Principal Kathie Monti

Why did you choose to become a Principal?
As a teacher, I was blessed to have administrators who allowed me to think outside the box, try new things, and create a safe and exciting learning environment for my students.  I became an administrator because I believe it is my responsibility to provide those same opportunities for the teachers at Teasley Middle School.  

What inspires you in your work as a Principal?
As a teacher, I was inspired by watching my students “get it.”  Those “light bulb” experiences when students are engaged and learning at high levels still motivate me.  I stay inspired by watching my teachers do their magic and watching the students light up with pride when they master difficult concepts and skills. 

How are you Elevating the Excellence in your school?
At Teasley Middle School, we are committed to providing rigorous instruction for all students that meets the level of the standards.  Our priority is to ensure that our administrative team and coaches put teaching and learning first.
